How It All Came To Be
"Why don't you start your own team?" That was the
question that started it all. The tone of voice; like we were being challenged,
gave us a reason to start our own ROV team and prove to everybody that we were
as willing as they were to succeed.
The Purpose of LEGIT Robotics
The sole purpose of LEGIT Robotics is to encourage girls to step into the shoes of the guys, who are, believe it or not, the ones that build, program, and repair the ROV when needed. This is not because the guys push the girls out of the way, it is mostly because these roles are considered to be "male" roles in our society. What LEGIT Robotics is doing is giving girls the encouragement to step outside of their comfort zone and do all of those roles as well.
